SOAR: Essentials for the Active Lifestyle

SOAR X Hackney

It's the taking part - and the winning - that count.

Hackney is woven into SOAR DNA. Founded and based here, a Sunday morning in Victoria Park or along the Regent’s Canal reveals runners, otherwise disconnected, united by the SOAR flag. Hackney’s rich heritage, creative zest, and strong community inspire us to give back.

This energy fuels our annual Hackney Half training group. We invite friends—local crew runners like Peckham Pacers, Hot Boys Athletics, Grove Lane Runners, and more—as well as coaches and our Race Team athletes to host tailored workouts, sharing their expertise to get runners race-ready with good vibes and camaraderie.

This year's race day was a spectacle of SOAR spirit. Our Race Vests dominated the field on a glorious spring day, showcasing the best of Hackney—from cheer zones to confetti. Post-race on the Marshes, endorphins, beer, and sunshine lifted everyone's spirits. Plus, we handed out free race-day Polaroids to anyone racing in SOAR, capturing that post-race glee.

But SOAR is about more than participation—we’re about peak performance. When friends of SOAR, Jonathan Escalante-Phillips and Freddie Hessian, geared up for the half, we asked them to put our Stealth Race System through its paces. The result? Flawless performance and a joint victory, hand-in-hand at the finish line.
