The inspiration for the Dual-Fabric Tights came to me after reading that airlines had started to recommend that passengers wear knee length compression socks, during long haul flights, for protection against blood clots. The lower leg is furthest away from the heart making it the most effective place to target with compression to aid venous return. I took this idea of targeted compression through to the Dual-Fabric Tights.
The lower leg is made with a compressive light-weight woven fabric. This is bonded to the upper part of the tights that are constructed with a heavier Italian made knitted fabric for comfort and thermal insulation. Thus you have targeted compression on the lower leg where it is most beneficial and warmer fabric on the thigh and lower body. A happy accident is the combination of the two different fabrics looks great, too.
There is a pocket on the back that will fit your phone or a couple of gels, and there are reflective details on the front and back legs to keep you safe at night. Ankle zips are moved forwards to the flatter part of the tibia bone for added comfort. The final detail is the drawcord on the waist - it's stretchy. The allows you to adjust for a snug fit, without feeling constricted. No more saggy bottoms. All you have do is run.
The brief is, as always, Beautiful Performance Running Wear.
