What got you into running? And what keeps you doing it?
I started running to get fit for squash, and then it just sort of took over. Now I can't seem to stop signing up for races.
What is your typical training routine?
5 or 6 days a week. A mixture of easy, tempo and long runs.
Do you run with a club or a group?
Neither, I've always run by myself.
Where's the strangest place you've run?
I did a half marathon in Angkor Wat in Cambodia. It was brilliant running around the temples.
What song, if any, is guaranteed to make you run faster?
Almost anything I haven't heard before. That way it really distracts me.
Do you run for the fun of it? Or for the results?
What is the best bit of advice you've had from another runner?
Never miss a Monday. It starts the week off in the right way.
What simple advice would you give to a new or novice runner?
The hardest part of early morning running is getting up. Once you've managed that the rest is easy.
What is your favourite piece of SOAR kit?
The rain jacket.
