What got you into running? And what keeps you doing it?
I started aged 18 to fill the void left by a lack of organised team sports and a new-found amount of spare time. Soon began racing and caught the bug.
What is your typical training routine?
I run 6 if not 7 days per week. A standard training week includes plenty of easy running (often as part of a commute), an interval session, a tempo and a long run.
Do you run with a club or a group?
I run with Highgate Harriers, the guys here at SOAR and a range of other London training groups.
Where's the strangest place you've run?
Ulan Bator, Mongolia.
What song, if any, is guaranteed to make you run faster?
I'm a bit of a purist and tend to run without music.
Do you run for the fun of it? Or for the results?
Both! I Love the results side, but if it's not fun then what's the point?
What is the best bit of advice you've had from another runner?
What simple advice would you give to a new or novice runner?
Don't chase fitness, let it come to you, and never be afraid to slow your runs down.
What is your favourite piece of SOAR kit?
The X-Line Tempo Top, sleek, stylish and lightweight.
