What got you into running? And what keeps you doing it?
I have always been very active, I did well in my first school cross country so I joined my local athletics club when I was 8. I love competing and the adrenaline, which has kept me hooked.
What is your typical training routine?
I train twice a day most days, I will do about 2/3 track sessions a week alongside hills and weights in the winter, all other days are easy/steady running.
Do you run with a club or a group?
I run with a group coached by Matt Yates and Barry Ewall and we have S&C coaches Will Davies and David Richards
Where's the strangest place you've run?
I haven't ran anywhere particularly strange, but whilst I was studying in America I ran in some pretty cool places. Although I ran there most weeks I think my fondest memories are running in the foothills in Albuquerque (as hard as the altitude was!)
What song, if any, is guaranteed to make you run faster?
Anything upbeat (not opposed to a bit of cheese)
Do you run for the fun of it? Or for the results?
I run for both, but getting results is what gets me out in the dark, cold winter nights after work
What is the best bit of advice you've had from another runner?
Control what you can control
What simple advice would you give to a new or novice runner?
Join a club / run with a group and mix up running routes and sessions
What is your favourite piece of SOAR kit?
My Jordanian National Team Fenn Shell Jacket
