Lightweight, race-compliant bad weather protection
Trail runners are made of strong stuff, but no one is immune to bad weather, which is why we’ve taken your standard race-day rain shell and applied the SOAR vision. Principally, each jacket is crafted with AIRLIGHT, our ultra-breathable fabric with a three-layer membrane and fully taped seams to keep out the harshest rain while you stay fast and light over the trails.
But we take it further with an unconventional smock design to keep things minimal, whether stowed inside itself in your pack as obligatory race equipment or worn on-and-off throughout a hard race. In this case, it also aligns impeccably with our goal to make a pack-compatible piece: the double half-zip construction smartly allows for increased on-run ventilation under chest straps. To the same end, we upped the abrasion resistance throughout to ensure a long-lasting under-pack performance and seasons of use.
The piece is rounded out with other trail-ready detailing, including an ergonomic hood with handy fastening, elasticated cuffs and rear hem, ergonomic sleeves to limit rustle and keep your speed, plus reflective details to ensure you’re seen. In short: it’s classic SOAR design using technical materials with sharp tailoring in all the right places.
